Emmanuelle Fonsny is a native French speaker from Belgium. She moved to Sydney in 1998, acquiring linguistic and cultural knowledge in both French and English. Passionate about languages, she studied Japanese, French literature, linguistics and the history of old English at the University of Sydney and UNSW.
After graduating with a Masters in Translation and Interpreting from Macquarie University in 2010, she founded EF Translations to provide quality translations to individuals, companies and translation agencies. Emmanuelle has extensive experience translating official documents, technical manuals, product labels, instructions and academic documents.
For more than 10 years, Emmanuelle taught French privately to high school and adult students. She also worked as a French transcriber, a QA monitor and an English to French translator at Appen (a company based in Chatswood) and as a French to English translator of Global Village for the SBS channel.
Emmanuelle continues to maintain her languages through travel, social activities, media and professional workshops / seminars.
